New Team Collaboration Tool...

Today we released our team collaboration tool at MondoTeams.com. It is a free online tool that allows you to:

  • Create and manage projects
  • Invite team members to join your project and participate in the project development.
  • Create deadlines, bulletins, and comments on the project.
  • Create tasks to be done on the project.
  • Track your time spent on projects.
  • Build time reports for customer invoices on time spent on projects.
  • Create folders for the project and upload files to those files.
  • Track file revisions.
  • Project calendar tool.

It's all written in CF and AJAX and is free for you to use! There are obvious limitations, like a maximum number of projects (20), folders and files (I'll have to look that up), etc. However, the limitations are generous and should be plenty for most projects.

We are also creating some new and improved features that I'll blog about in the future.

Also, another tool we created is call MondoDesigner.com. This tool allows you to create your own web sites (for those who don't want to get into code), host it on our servers, add a blog, and community sign in, and use your same login and password for all of the Mondo tools.

We have a whole suite of tools and projects that we'll be releasing in the future. I'm way excited about them and I'll keep you posted!

Scott's Gravatar Very cool stuff! So, it sounds like MondoDesigner is a type of Content Management System. Is that right?

Chris Schofield's Gravatar Yep. It is a CMS and a designer at the same time. So, usually with a CMS you have the templates already built and have users add content. MondoDesigner lets users change their content and design the site at the same time. However, as of now, I don't think multiple users can change one site.

Mark Christensen's Gravatar Congrats on the launch Chris. These products sound like they have some good functionality. I'll have to check them and and see what they can do.

Chris Schofield's Gravatar Thanks Mark. I've been using the tool for several weeks and found it very useful. Feel free to leave comments on how we can improve it.

Crystal's Gravatar Chris, I can see you all over this project. It reminds me some of lighthouse and timetracker. Looks good! There is a glick on the sign-up page, at the bottom
some text runs into your menu. Just thought I'd let you know. Looks like a fun project to work on.

Chris Schofield's Gravatar Thanks Crystal! We did integrate ideas from Lighthouse but wanted a more collaborative approach to how tasks work in a team environment. I really like the time tracker. That was fun to build and the best part is the integration of those features with the calendar and ajax and all that.

Thanks for the notice on the glitch. I didn't build that page. :)
